Arkansas State University is a public institution situated in Jonesboro, Arkansas. It was founded in 1909 as a regional agricultural training school by Arkansas General Assembly. In 1918, it started offering a two-year college program and became the “First District Agricultural and Mechanical College” in 1925.
Later, the Arkansas legislature elevated its status from college to university and changed name to Arkansas State University. The campus of institute is spread over 1,474 acres. With Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree programs, ASU offers some upper level courses through the Degree Centers of ASU at ASU-Mountain Home, ASU-Beebe and other cities like Forest City, Blytheville and West Memphis.
