Located in Pocahontas, Arkansas, Black River Technical College is a public community college. The college was founded in 1972 as Black River Vocational Technical School and adopted its current name in 1991. In 1993, it became an independent institution of higher education.
The campus covers 246.030 sq. ft. in 20 buildings over more than 95 acres. The college offers wide variety of higher educational programs in different areas of study that are committed to meet the academic, technical, cultural, professional and personal needs of Northeast Arkansas citizens.
